Solly's and Tommy Wells!

The Arcade made it's political debut at Solly's Tavern!  We screenprinted T-Shirts and posters in support of Tommy Well's DC Creatives initiative.  Be sure to vote on April 4th! A very special thank you to Dave-O for helping us out!

Art Group's Second Art Show

One project that we could not have pulled off without the amazing staff at DASH is our now “bi-annual” Art Group show. Twice a year, we pull all of the work created by the kids, frame it, and hang it on the walls at DASH. This past show, we even had the children act as “mini-docents” and give tours of the show, explaining how the art was made, and what it was about. The kids could not have been glowing any brighter. Seeing their work framed and on the wall elevated it to a whole other level. Suddenly the work they were making in Group wasn’t just painting and drawing. It was ART. And their confidence sky-rocketed.

Derby Printing Day TAKE 3!

I was happy to capture a photo of us printing at night, just to drive the point home that it is AN ALL DAY AFFAIR.  Keep a lookout for our next one in May. We love our Derby family and everyone that came out yesterday!

It's that time again.....

Sunday Nov. 3rd 11am - 12am!

So excited for our third Red Derby t-shirt printing!  Here's your chance to grab one of these awesome designs!  Remember, all of these are a limited edition, so once the event is over, the designs will be retired. Join us on the roof deck, where you'll have your choice of shirt and ink color, and we'll help you screenprint it! This event is always a lot of fun for us! Hope to see you there!

WE LOVE DASH!

Mari, one of DASH's newest additions, wrote an awesome article about Art Group.  Check it out here!

"This is not an art class where you  simply color inside the lines. Instead, the kids get to express themselves through truly amazing projects, from painting bricks to making stop gap animation. Alonso’s* favorite project was the “me collage” in which all the children got to make collages that represented who they are as people. This was his favorite project in part because he got to work with Ms. Beth and, as he explained, “Ms. Beth is awesome.”
